Tailored Qualifying Programme

The programme is completely tailored to practitioners' needs, allowing participants flexibility to study and qualify, while working and researching. Participants must successfully pass the tests of understanding (examinations) on the specially tailored commercial diplomatic programme.

 

Accreditation of Prior Learning

Applicants with significant prior professional experience in an acceptable related field may apply to have the total programme reduced, which will be applied to the independent study requirement. Such application must make reference to relevant areas in which the candidate has acquired professional competence or relevant courses/programme completed.

 

Shorter Minimum Completion Period

The qualifying programme has a shorter minimum completion period through work-based/distance learning for those who have successfully completed the Associateship (Master of Commercial Diplomacy) programme, or an acceptable advanced degree (Master or above) programme in a related/relevant field. Selection of participants is made only from among candidates possessing the best and most relevant qualification*. All prospective candidates shall be evaluated on their total background including:

• proven relevant knowledge and professional experience
• education, skills, training and professional development
• an appreciation of, and passion for responsible commercial diplomatic practise; and
• proven personal integrity as it relates to the programme and the commercial diplomatic profession

Estimated programme duration
Full programme has a minimum duration of 48 months (with option of extension to 7 years)
